we just finished a nice little project with our friends at segal savad (with whom we’ve done the tygris financial website). this site is sponsored by The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions and Delta airlines in a joint venture with KLM, and AirFrance. we built it on the wordpress platform from designs supplied by segal savad. it contains a blog feature and flash movies for a bit of interactivity.

although the micro site is not intended for a purely gay travel audience, the play on words refers to the attitude of the people in this grand european city. so whether you’re actually going to amsterdam for the gay pride 2009 festivities or just happy cause you’ll be hitting all the coffee shops and the red light district, there’s plenty of info on the site to make sure you’ll have a good time.

a 95 year difference

4 generations

i first mentioned my wife gina’s grand aunt, sister mary loyola (adelaide engel) last year in this post. well another year has past and today aunt ade turns 101 years old. pictured above (left to right) are fran iannozzi (my mother-in-law), aunt ade, sophia (my daughter) and gina. i’ve been shooting portraits of the ladies in egan lineage for 4 years. it’s amazing to see the progression. i’ll have to dig up the earliest photo from my archives and append this post.

aunt ade is a treasure and we’re incredibly blessed to have her in our lives. so aunt ade, we wish you the best and hope to celebrate your birthdays for many more years. as a parting note, one of her her saying: “The Present is a present”. talk about words to live by, for a long time.
